Nominations for officers will be made at a reunion, and also electronically after the reunion for a period of two weeks. Within thirty day of the close of nominations , elections will take place through electronic communication to elect Alumni Association Officers. These officers will serve till the scheduled elections are held.
This is a constitutional change and requires a 2/3's vote
Combine the BOA and the Alumni Association into one body. The executive officers of the Alumni Association will be considered the BOA of the active chapter. The chapter is given their BOA as elected in the Alumni Association Executive Officers.
REQUIRES A 2/3'S APPROVAL AND FORMAL ACCEPTANCE BY THE ACTIVE CHAPTER
For the first time since the restart of the chapter, the active’s bank pointed out that the active chapter did not have an active Employee Identification Number (EIN) and refused to allow them to make changes on their checking account. All non-profit organizations are required to have an EIN. This is necessary to retain tax exempt status. The active chapter was never advised of this need either through previous active administrations, their Board of Advisors (BOA)-which has not met for two years- or national training. The reinstatement fee is $850.00
Spend $1,000.00 for lifetime registration vs a two-year registration for $250.00.
The arguments in favor of the lifetime registration were that after ten years, we would be saving money. Secondly, we would receive free Fraternity for Life pins for those participating ($10.00 per pin).
Frater Spencer was the lone dissenting vote arguing that the value we would receive was questionable and a trial would be a better option.
